Hale Skemp Attorneys Judge Mock Trial in Winona

Attorneys Frank Doherty and Garett Pankratz served as judges for the Minnesota State Bar Association Mock Trial Competition in Winona County on January 20, 2023. Frank served as the presiding judge, while Garett served as a scoring judge. Frank and Garett had a great time and were very impressed with the competitors.

As the judge in the trial, Frank was responsible for evaluating the evidence and arguments presented by both the prosecution and defense, and ruling on objections. This experience provides local Tri-State students with an in-depth understanding of the procedures of our legal system and the role an attorney plays.
