Attorney Frank Doherty Successfully Defends General Contractor on Building Project Dispute

Attorney Frank Doherty of Hale, Skemp, Hanson, Skemp & Sleik, La Crosse, Wisconsin, represented Fowler & Hammer, which was the prime general contractor on a $60,000,000 State building project. A lawsuit was filed by a subcontractor on the project seeking to be paid a substantial amount for “extra work” it claimed to have performed during the two-year project.  Attorney Doherty successfully defended Fowler & Hammer at trial, with the 12-person jury unanimously concluding that the subcontractor was entitled to $0.
